Each can is 9 ounces of fully cooked and drained bacon. Between 2-3/4 and 3-1/4 pounds of raw bacon go into each can. Each can is the highest quality fresh #1 bacon slices. Cured to specifications, cooked and then hand wrapped, rolled and packed in the U.S.
This bacon is cooked down for you prior to canning, so you won’t pay for all of the natural shrinkage that occurs whenever you cook bacon. Then the bacon is carefully drained of the fat and liquid, then it is canned fresh to taste as good out of the can as it would right out of the refrigerator.

With a shelf life in excess of 10 years, this bacon makes a perfect addition to your food storage program and it is great for every day use. Very good bacon i like my bacon crispy i just put in a frying pan and cooked it a little more . or you can just eat it right out of the can its good that way too.

Surprisingly good. We received a can as a Christmas gift in 2018 and didn't think much of it. Popped it open this year and wow, I was impressed. We hit it in the microwave for a few seconds to heat it up. Taste and texture just like I had cooked it myself. I added one case to the preps recently and plan to add one more at the end of Spring.

Pricey, but top quality bacon, for sure. I can testify it lasts 5 years easy....mine never gets past that !

Bought the soup variety pk. They will be handy anytime they are needed. Just whip up some home made bread and you have a meal. I have not opened the containers rather put up for storage for later. A sample pk would be great included for each variety so one could sample what was bought but alas I'll just have to wait and see. Fast shipping, good price! Longtime SafeCastle customer.
