In the freeze dried state, fresh product taste, natural color, and texture are concentrated. The end product weight is reduced by over 90% while the volume remains the same. This is a remarkable process.
The product won't shrink or shrivel when rehydrated with water but will maintain its texture and shape. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is excellent.
Freeze dried and dehydrated foods are less expensive than wet-packed foods because you don't have to pay for all of the water.
The freeze dried fruits and vegetables are naturally and additive-free, so they can be stored foremergency rationwithout becoming hard or moldy.

These cans always show up damaged, many to the point where the can's integrity is questionable at best. I really wanted to like this product, but both the cheese and the butter safecastle sells will arrive with more damaged cans than undamaged. Unfortunately their customer service was unable or unwilling to address this issue after more than one shipment arrived this way.
high quality product, kinda pricey, appears to last almost forever unopened, good flavor, ordered some TEMU plastic cat food lids to cover opened can in refrigerator, am giving 2 cans to my backpacking sons to test on a 4 day group hike, the other can will be on the "cheese and cracker plate" at Thanksgiving
